  • The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD) forecast 7.3% growth for India in 2017-18 and 7.7% growth in 2018-19.
  • The Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) has forecast ''above normal'' temperatures across most of the country.The predicted temperatures,on average,likely to be above 1 degree Centigrade above their normal summer temperatures.
  • The Archaeological Survey of India(ASI) excavated six copper axes and some pieces of pottery dating back to 2,000 BC in Sakatpur of Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh.The excavation may throw light on a 4,000-year-old Ganga-Yamuna culture.
